UJ Arts &amp; Culture strives to reimagine the future through innovation and technology-led solutions for the creative sector and continues to harness these to engage the youth in its programmes. This year, the\u00a0<b>#PressPlay<\/b>\u00a0campaign is rooted in the power of the arts. It offers an environment where, as Aristotle puts it, \u2018the inward significance of things is represented not their outward appearance\u2019. The practice of the arts, or play as we call it, has additional mental, health and social benefits and has been proven to boost confidence, critical thinking and problem solving.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"28pna\">The UJ Art Academy is now open for registration for auditions. Opportunities include\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/UJChoir\"><b>UJ Choir<\/b><\/a>, classes and workshops in dance, poetry and drama or sign-up to merely immerse yourself in the breadth of the arts by attending a range of concerts, productions, film screenings and exhibitions.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=zVp4-u82vEGKlImEEyfgRVl9x9uL6Y9Ij2NvzeF6K4BUMDlUNzBEMEFNOExCWDQ1Rkw5VUhMNDU0NC4u\"><b>Click here<\/b><\/a>\u00a0to register<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"5o2ge\">In addition to in-person opportunities (COVID-permitting), UJ Arts &amp; Culture\u2019s 2022 #PressPlay programme will draw on innovative methods developed during the pandemic to facilitate an immersive digital experience taking on the form of interactive social-networking games and social media challenges.
