Admission requirements for the Amended Senior Certificate (SC(a)) applicants
in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (FADA).
Amended Senior Certificate (SC(a))
candidates will only be considered for Diploma and BA Degree programmes.
Selection criteria:
a. Senate Discretionary Conditional Admission for candidates who have successfully completed the SC(a) and who have
applied for admission to a Diploma or BA Degree programme in FADA provided that:
1.
The student meets the minimumAPS and the minimum subject requirements per qualification; and
2.
The relevant Head of School recommend the admission.
b. Applicants will be required to participate in programme-specific selection requirements, as determined by the Faculty
Board, approved by Senate and contained in the relevant Faculty Rules and Regulations.
c. Selection is based on academic merit and the availability of places and hence specific selection criteria may be applied
within the required Enrolment Management Plan as the University has a specific number of places available as approved
by the Department of Higher Education and Training for new undergraduate first year students.
